Introduction
Welcome to Peerwalk. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and disclose your information, including personal information, in conjunction with your access to and use of the Peerwalk platform.
Information We Collect
- Account Information: When you sign up for a Peerwalk account, we do NOT require any personal information. Storing an email addresses is optional. The display name and the avatar image can be anonymous. The exception is if you sign up via Google and Github where your username is an email address and is therefore stored.
- Communications with Peerwalk: When you communicate with Peerwalk, we collect information about your communication, including message content (stored encrypted at rest) and its metadata (e.g. user ID, display name, avatar url).
- Your Github Source Code: Your source code does not leave your device (except when you query your code against a third party AI). We only store file metadata (e.g. repo ID, file ID, file name) used to identify the files needed for each review request and to fetch from Github locally.
- Firebase Analytics: Our app uses Google Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google, to collect data about app usage and user interaction. This information helps us understand how our users engage with the app and to improve our services.
- Data Collected by Firebase Analytics: The types of information collected by Firebase Analytics may include:
User Interactions: Information on how users interact with our app, such as the features they use, the actions they take, and the time they spend on the app.
Device and Usage Data: Information about the device used to access our app, including device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, and app version.
Performance Data: Data about app performance issues, such as app crashes, slow app loading times, and other system issues.
User Engagement Data: Data on user engagement and retention, such as the frequency and duration of app usage.

How We Use Your Information
If you contact support we will request permission to access stored data in order to diagnose issues. Firebase Analytics data will be used to understand, improve, and develop the Peerwalk platform, create and maintain a trusted and safer environment and comply with our legal obligations.

- With Your Consent: We may share your information at your direction or as described at the time of sharing.
